Casa San Miguel de Allende
Casa San Miguel de Allende
Situated on a plateau that served as a pilgrimage site for the indigenous people in Mexico’s central area, this 12,000 square foot courtyard house, Casa San Miguel de Allende, is a modern retreat in an updated hacienda, and features a hot spring fed swimming pool. DHD Architecture and Interiors worked to meld elegant, modern furniture with the locally available materials and pieces by local artisans. The retreat’s environment was designed to soothe and relax; embracing many natural materials and textures, and leaving spaces open, flowing, and filled with natural light. Each room embraces its own color palette and an individual design, while the house still remains cohesive as a whole and consistent in the peaceful, luxurious atmosphere.
